BOULDER, COLORADO. CALIFORNIA LITE
Arrived in Boulder, Colorado. Smells like . . . California.
Arrived at the Rocky Mountain foothills after an 1800 mile drive over three days. Yes, I know it's a lot, but given that there's nothing going on in NYC, it seemed a good use of time.
Boulder, Colorado is what happens when Californians decide they've destroyed California and have to leave. The taxes are too high. The schools are horrible. The homeless are unmanageable.
When Gavin Newsom attains the governorship, the fears of the ultimate Peter Principle are realized.
What does your average blameless Liberal do? Move to another state and start screwing that one up by instituting the same confiscatory taxes, lax public school systems, and allowing the unemployable to take root on the city streets.
Colorado used to be a conservative state. No longer. Legalized marijuana in Colorado is just one of the latest stupid moves by The Hysterical Left, which led to more car accidents, a drop in productivity (even before the lame excuse of Covid), and a trashing of the city downtowns by the arrival of lazy-ass drug addicts . . . known as the noble homeless.
Perhaps, in the future, we could convince the Do Nothing Progressives to stay in either New York or California. Really. Two flaccid, liberal enclaves to try out their dopey policies, which never work, but are constantly re-jiggered.
Please leave the middle part of the country alone. You have nothing but contempt for it. "Flyover Country" and all that.
Tomorrow, I set out on my quest to see how screwed up the foothills of Colorado have gotten.
More to come.
